The french gin

Welcome to the South-West.
The south-west of France has it all: the sun, the sea, the countryside…
and the château de Bonbonnet, which we are proud to call home!

Juniper trees grow wild across from the château. Their berries gave our founder Alexandre Gabriel an idea: to create the first modern French gin. It was a crazy idea back in 1996, the year Citadelle Gin was born!

A gin de château.
Citadelle is a “gin de Château” par excellence.

We harvest juniper berries for our gin at Château de Bonbonnet and will soon be growing all our juniper trees ourselves.
The French “apéro”.
In France, the cocktail hour (“apéro,” short for apéritif) is a sacred ritual!

Whether in a gin & tonic at the seaside, with a dozen oysters straight from the reef or just to discover gin à la française.
Citadelle Gin is best enjoyed with family, friends and of course a twist of lemon peel. All in moderation of course!
